Fran

It’s hard to imagine with such boyish looks that Fran has over 30 years experience in Christian music.

Having been with Cana since the group's formation, Fran plays his new Godin guitar and doubles as sound engineer / roadie.

Formerly in the Rialto Folk Group (1976-1982) and the Pro Cathedral Folk group (1982 to 1989) he is a passionate believer in the use of contemporary music, styles and instrumentation in a Christian context to help congregations have a fuller experience of the liturgy.

John John is a tenor and has been a member of Cana since its early days.
A professional singer, guitarist and actor, John made his first associations with music ministry through the "Pro-Cathedral Folk Group" and "The Choir of the Lord's Supper".
Throughout his time with Cana he has met some amazing people and it's the friendship, support and humour of the group that John finds so refreshing.
Here's to the future!

Ronan

Ronan’s roots in liturgical music go right back to the late 70’s. His journey started initially as acoustic guitarist with Tabor House folk group - Milltown, then, Our Lady of Dolors - Glasnevin, St.Pius Xth – Templeogue and Gort Muire - Ballinteer until he joined Cana as bass guitarist in 1990.

After all these years,  what he still finds incredible, is feeling the buzz when someone comments on how much the music has helped enrich their sense of spirituality.

Having a keen eye for things arty, Ronan designed the cover of the first album and is responsible for the Cana website (despite it being back breaking work at times!)

Paul

Paul's love of music comes from his dad who encouraged him to sing from an early age. Starting out in the Greenfield Pk. Choir in Santry in those early years, via a passion for soccer, he sang with the folk group in Ballinteer and more recently has spent six years with St. Mary's Folk Group in Lucan. There he played the part of Peter in the successful production of "The Passion". During that time he was a member of the Harold's Cross Musical Society and played an important part in their production of Carousel.
He is delighted to continue his love of singing with Cana and looks forward to all that the future holds.
